The Gifts List

It continues to grow.

I sent a copy of Ann’s book to my mom and sister for Mother’s Day.  Couldn’t we all use a change in perspective? And indeed, this book has offered just that. A different way of looking at the world; encouragement to see God’s hand in it all. Sometimes keeping a list of gifts has opened my eyes and helped me note the little things I would have missed. Sometimes it’s changed my attitude when I’ve felt deprived or disappointed. Often, it’s been a veritable weapon in my hands when the enemy’s laughter is in my ears and he wants me to focus on all that’s going wrong around me. Doesn’t God care? You’ve worked so hard; why isn’t everything going according to plan? How can you keep going? Why bother?

Because I’m keeping a list.

Guess what? God’s keeping a list of gifts, too! And take a close look at what He chooses to write down …

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name. “They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts,in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him. ~Malachi 3:16-18

Isn’t that amazing? I want to be on *that* list today!
