31 Days of Encouragement! Day One

31 Days.

Time enough to make a new habit, redecorate a house, learn some Latin, clean out under your children’s beds …

Just kidding.

A lot can happen in 31 days!

So, a dear, sweet group of bloggers has decided to challenge us to come up with a topic and dig deeply into it, sharing our finds and knowledge with our readers, for the next 31 days straight.

It’s a difficult job, this blogging thing. But someone’s got to do it.

So on my heart today? The same thing as usual … moms who need encouragement. Moms like you, who I’ll bet are a lot like me. Swimming upstream in a difficult culture, trying to nurture your husband and children and friends, all while trying to maintain a modicum of sanity. Some days it’s extremely overwhelming, isn’t it?

Pop in here for a bit of refreshment, every day, for the rest of this month. And make sure to check out the other blogs, linked at this wonderful page–there is some fantastic stuff here! From free printables to great recipes to romance to homeschooling, the topics are limitless. Grab a cup of coffee and visit them all!

Well, maybe not all at once.

And today, sweet mama, let me encourage you … if you are walking through difficulty; if the road ahead seems to hard; if you are weary in the battle … hangeth thou in there! You can do it. God is with you, and He understands. And He comforts you in your trial so you can in turn comfort someone else.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.” 2 Cor. 1:3-5

Good news, indeed. Bless you today!
