It’s Launch Day! Titus 2 University

If you’re a Christian woman, you’ve heard about Titus 2.

Probably more than once.

While not quite as annoying as Proverbs 31 as far as the intimidation level goes, most of us know that Titus 2 contains a list of things we’re supposed to be doing. But we might not really know what exactly is on that list. Plus we all already have plenty of to-do lists, thankyouverymuch.

I think that’s a problem. I hear from lots of moms who say they need some encouragement in their day to day lives. We’re all busy, and it’s hard to find time even for a phone call most days! Some of you because of your location or life situation find it difficult, if not impossible, to make connections with godly women who could help you along your way.

Well, what if we could learn together, online?

It’s possible! My prayer is that this can be a tool the Lord will use to draw us all closer to Him and to our families as we endeavor to be the wives, mothers, and friends He’s called us to be.

So … I’ve been planning and writing and making calls and plotting some more. And I have come up with what I think is going to be a very fun idea: a Titus 2 University, if you will!

This special members-only series:

Titus 2 University

is ready to launch!

Since there are seven specific areas mentioned here, this will be a nine month “university.” We’ll begin with a general overview of these topics and talk about what it means to be a woman who follows the Lord. Then for the next seven months, we’ll focus on each subject above in turn …

  • loving our husbands with Cindy Rushton of Mom to Mom Radio Show and the Ultimate Home School Expo

  • loving our children with Sally Clarkson founder of MomHeart Ministries and author of Ministry of Motherhood and so many other wonderful books!

  • being sensible with MoneySavingMom Crystal Paine, author of the Money Saving Mom’s Budget

  • being pure with Chelsea Terwilliger, multitalented mama, creative director at our church, and author of a brand-new blog

  • working at home  with SarahMae, author of 31 Days to Clean

  • being kind with Emily Freeman, author of Grace for the Good Girl

  • being subject to our own husbands

  • Finally, we’ll take a week to wrap it up, for a total of nine months of “classes.”

Each week you’ll receive a new goody: a download you can print out including an overview of the month’s study, a suggested book to read and questions, practical challenges, and personal pages for you to work through; one audio session teaching/Bible study on that month’s topic by me; one or more recorded interviews with special guests; and another downloadable checklist, guide, interview, e-book, or printable pages of some sort. (I have a feeling my guests might also offer some sweet goodies for you!)

You will also be able to submit specific questions you’d like help with, so we can come alongside you in your walk as a mom! And we’ll be praying for each of you as you join the group!

My interview list also includes Joy Forney, missionary mama blogging at GraceFullMama; Mrs. Debbie Austin, my fabulous pastor’s wife: Meet Miss Debbie!; Kristen Kill, my dear friend from MomHeart, who mothers four young ones in the heart of New York City and blogs at Hope With Feathers; Christin Slade, who blogs at Joyful Mothering; the founder of a fun new site for moms called The Better Mom, Ruth Schwenk, Amy Bayliss, web guru extraordinaire, cofounder of DIYMinistry and blogger at Cajun Joy de Vivre, and Brooke McGlothlin, founder of The MOB Society (Mothers of Boys) and author of Warrior Prayers: Praying the Word for Boys. The list is literally growing by the moment at this point! So one thing’s for sure: we’re going to have a great time! I’m expecting to add other fun monthly guests as we go along.

Ready to join? You can take part by signing up using one of the buttons below! When you subscribe, you have two choices: You can sign up for a subscription which will automatically charge your card each month, or you can save some money if you’d like to pay it all at once. Whichever membership you choose will set you up to automatically receive four emails per month, giving you access to the newest available item, as well as a page where you can discuss what you’re learning through the comments section!

More good news: Though this is my schedule, you can join anytime! No matter when you sign up, the membership will start you right at the beginning. One thing to keep in mind: because of the limitations of this technology, if you quit your subscription and then rejoin, you’ll go back to lesson one–there’s no way to figure out where you left off. So stick with us! We’re going to learn a ton!

Click Here to Set up a Monthly Subscription, at only $8.95 per month for 9 months!

OR save some money! Click Here To Make a One Time Payment of only $65.00 for the entire 9 month session!

When you purchase your subscription, you’ll be taken to a welcome page which will ask you to confirm your registration and set you up to receive each week’s study as it becomes available. I can’t wait to get started!

Please join us as we dive into the truths of Titus 2 and learn from one another! And invite someone else to join us, too!

  1. I saw this on Twitter and hoped over to find out what it’s all about. Only to find that it’s you, Misty! We “met” in Cindy’s chat room yesterday. Isn’t it funny how life takes us in meaningful circles sometimes? So glad that I met & found you online! I’m gonna take a look around here!

  2. Heatherashe says:

So glad to hear you can join any time.  With baby 3 coming so soon, I’m not going to jump in now, but will keep this in mind for the not-too-distant future!  May God bless many through this University!!  :)

  3. ThriftymamA says:

    Too expensive!

    • Jennifer says:

I agree with you.  I was excited to see a link to this on Facebook, but then saw it costs $65.00.  Sorry to have to pass this up…many blessings to those who are able to join!

      • Oh, Jennifer, how I wish all the technology was free! Perhaps at some point this will grow and we’ll be able to offer scholarships for mamas who need them? I’ll be praying for you and thanks for the kind words!

    • Sorry, friend! I do wish my time and the technology and all of it were free. At $8.95 a month, each week’s item is about $2.20, and obviously if you do the up front payment it’s a lot less. The overwhelming bulk of my blog remains free! Bless you!

  4. Janice Le says:

I have a lot of questions and need to contact someone!

  5. I think 8.95 a month is a great deal for an invaluable study. An even better deal if you have the room in your budget for the 65. This sounds like it is just what I am looking for at this time (My husband is deployed for the next 10 months and I was looking for a really good study to do…) Thanks so much for all of your hard work! (and the hard work of the contributors!)

  6. Kerry says:

I’m sorry that some of the others think this is too expensive.  I think it’s  a steal.

    Think about it…

You buy 1 workshop cd for $10-15 at this summer’s book show.  $8.95 is a steal for all you are offering.  That’s less than a large pizza (even the pizza you take home & bake yourself is $10)

    Great site.

  7. Kelli Corona says:

This sounds wonderful but as a single mom who has to work outside the home, it is too expensive since almost half do not apply to me. But I will be praying this ministers to the women who are contributing and those who are partaking. It is a wonderful idea!!!

    • Well, perhaps two out of seven don’t (the husband ones) but they might be good for the future?! Anyway, I do appreciate your prayers and also am praying for all involved–and praying for you, too! Thank you!

  8. Khomeschool says:

I was wondering are the books that need to be read included? Also do they come in download form for kindle? Thanks and it sounds wonderful. Hoping I can manuver this into our budget.

    • Hello! We would love to have you join us! No, unfortunately books are not included. That wouldn’t really work, since people’s home libraries vary so widely. However, the first month’s book, The Pursuit of God, is available online for free! Some are inexpensive ebooks. Many are available used. And of course, you don’t *have to* read them at all, though I do believe reading is an important part of growth! Best wishes as you decide!

  9. Terryn Winfield says:

Hi! I signed up yesterday, and I’m wondering how do I get started? Will I receive an email? Is there a place for discussion? This is my first Bible study, and I’m eager to get started. Thanks!

    • Terryn Winfield says:

I guess I spoke too soon, I just got your email :) Thank you!

      • Haha! Hi, Terryn. I’m thrilled you’re joining us! The program is supposed to send you an email but it sometimes gets glitched in cyberspace and I need to send a manual one. I’m trying to keep up as I go along, but sometimes one or two get through without my followup! Feel free to email me with any questions or issues! Look forward to talking with you!

  10. Bethany says:

I signed up a couple of days ago, but I think the system had a glitch, because I haven’t received an email. BTW thank you so much for putting Titus 2 University together. This is truly a blessing!!

  11. Mitzi says:

I saw this on Facebook the other day when Sally Clarkson shared it on her page. I am very excited about this! Bless you all for your time, hearts, and effort to put this study together! This is exactly what I have been needing! I have one child, a two year old little girl, and I am very eager to learn everything I can about whole hearted parenting! Prayers for everyone involved in this study!

  12. Hailey says:

I was soo excited about this until I realized the cost.  Sadly, it’s out of the budget right now.  Maybe next time!  Good luck:)

  13. Jennifer Wier says:

Think you might put some of this material in book form at some point? The $10-15 for one book or study guide may be more affordable for some. And what a great book it would be!9

    • Thanks, Jennifer! I have thought about it–but at least half the material is audio teachings/interviews, and so it would definitely lose quite a bit of the wonderful “stuff” included! I’ve got a few ideas up my sleeve and we’ll see what happens. As things stand right now, though, this is a weekly delivery for about $2.25 a week–not bad! :-) Have a great day!
